Francis St Procedures

Opening & Closing

Even though each playgroup session has a day leader the task of opening is shared, where possible, among the playgroup members.

Key duties include locking up at midday and opening the same day, the following week, at 10 am.

The opener should bring a small carton of milk for coffee and tea. (optional plain pack of biscuits). At present there are enough members to make this a bimonthly commitment.

When you open please unlock the toy room and toilet, set out a few toys and uncover the sandpit.

If you cannot open for any reason please notify the coordinator or secretary. Relevant phone numbers are listed in the newsletter and here [contact details]

During the session arrange for someone to take the key to lock up, then open the session the following week.

Playgroup provides tea & coffee for the mums and dads but bring food & drink for your children.

If you need to leave early please don't leave before doing something to help. Each visitor must perform a tidying up task prior to put out/pack away toys, wash up, sweep, cover sandpit, put crafts away etc.

Please keep a constant eye open for the safety of other children as well as your own.

We ask that your children do NOT bring their own special toys as it often causes conflict.
